Malayalam actor Mammootty is the leading actor in the south Indian cinema world. Mammootty in the industry for last thirty years. Mammootty won national wards three times reaching in the position with Amithabh Bachan and Kamalahasan. Mammootty won Five Kerala state awards and eleven film fare award.
Mammootty won the Padma sri1n 1998 and became the first actor person receiving the award representing Arts from Kerala. Leading magazine chose Mammootty as the highest sexy appeal personality in Malayalam cinema. Mammootty is the chairman of Malayalam channel Kairaly, We channel and people TV. Mammootty appeared in one scene in the movie Anubhavangal Palichakal with Satyan and Kalachakram with Perm Nazir. Mammootty came to the screen for doing longer roles in the beginning are Mela and Vilakanundu Swapnangal.

The movie was telling the real story of Pazhassi Raja who fought with British for freedom and got killed in Mavilamthod near Pulpally Wayanad Kerala. The raja memorial is maintained at Mananthavadi, Kerala by the state government.
Mammootty received national award for the movies Vidheyan, Ponthanmada, Dr,. Baba Saheb Ambedkar, Oru Vadakkan Veeragadha and Mathulukal. Ambedkar Movie made in Hindi and English language. There some movies of Mammootty not doing well in the box office recently until the release of Bavuttiyude Namathil written by Ranjith. Other movie of Ranjith with Mammootty was Pranchiettan and Saint and Palery manikyam in which Mammootty received the best actor award from kerala government.
Mammootty’s Upcoming movies
Mammootty is currently busy with his upcoming projects. Mamootty January release is Kammath and Kammath along with Dileep. Kammath and Kammath will be directing by Thomson who made the super hit Dileep film Janapriyan. The movie will have Malayalam actresses Rima Kallinkal and Karthika Nair. The movie will have Tamil actor Dhanush in a guest role.
Kammath and kammath will be telling a story of brothers Raja Raja Kammath and Deva Raja Kammath who running the hotel business. The movie is having wide release in India, Europe and Middle East. Mazhavil Manorama already bought the satellite for this movie kammath and Kammath for 5 crore rupees. All the mammootty fans waiting for a positive Malayalam movie Kammath and Kammath review.
The next release of Mammootty will be Immanuel directing Lal Jose which shooting is progressing. Lal Jose assistant director of Kamal first came to the cinema to do the film independently with Mammootty movie Oru Maravathoor Kanavu which was a super hit followed with Pattalam but it was failure due to lack of a good story. Mammootty and Lal Jose later joined for a short film Puram Kazhchakal for the movie Kerala CafĂ©. The movie Immanuel will be a family story of Mammootty and Lal Jose team. Kunjananthane Kada by Salim Ahmed, Gangster by Ashiq Abu and Arival Chuttika Nakshathram by Amal Neerad with Prithviraj are the other movies Mammootty coming next.
